Juventus Doors Are Not Fully Closed for Gonzalo Higuain

Gonzalo Higuain's career with Juventus has not yet ended. Especially after the defending Serie A champion appointed his former coach at Napoli and Chelsea, Maurizio Sarri, as the main captain.

As is known, Higuain had defended Juventus for two seasons after being trafficked from Napoli in 2016. But once Cristiano Ronaldo arrived, he had to lose his place until he had to go through the season with AC Milan and Chelsea as a loan.

Now, the loan period will end soon. At the end of June, he will return to the Bianconeri's arms. And incidentally, they had just appointed Sarri who had brought him to Chelsea in January.

Sarri and Higuain's relationship is fairly close. The 60-year-old man is a figure who made Higuain appear sharp to be able to score 36 goals in one season while in Naples first.

Their cooperation will be looked forward to at Juventus. But, Higuain will not necessarily survive because the material of the Bianconeri's front line has piled up. Before the addition of Higuain, they already had seven attackers.

Therefore, many believe that Higuain will remain released even though Sarri now occupies the current Juventus coaching chair. But, inversely proportional to public belief, Sarri actually said that the Juventus Stadium door was not closed to the striker.

"Pipa [the call of Higuain] is a player I love very much, and it depends on him if he wants to survive. Here there are directors who have been monitoring the players for years, so I will also hear their opinions," Sarri was quoted as saying by Football Italia .

Meet Higuain immediately

Regarding the possibility of survival, Sarri said he had not talked with Higuain while he was together at Chelsea. He was in no hurry because the summer transfer market was still long, but he promised to soon find a meeting point.

"I haven't talked to Gonzalo after the Europa League final. I have to arrange a series of ideas about Juve and this club," he added.

"He is a Juventus player, so when he returns from vacation, we will get the opportunity to talk," he said.

While with Juventus, Higuain appeared sharp and was able to collect a total of 40 goals from 73 appearances in Serie A. Unfortunately the performance dropped dramatically after leaving the Allianz Stadium.
